That worked a treat, was showing commercial aircraft few thousand metres high plus planes on the runway couple of hundred metres away along with hovering helicopters 50-100 metres away.
Downside of viewing outside is of course screen glare, ereaders can view in bright Sun but guessing the screen too slow for moving images but OK for text.
