Can anyone shed light on today’s New flight from LAX to LHR by Eagle 2 ?
When I look at the aircraft pic it’s Air New Zealand but they also have
their regular scheduled ANZ 2 and the 2 routes taken are different.

Looking at LHR to LAX there is an Eagle 1 ?

I have some reservations about the mapping of airlines to aircraft and suspect that there’s some coding not quite right with FlightAware. Eagle Airways (EAG) here in New Zealand is a subsidiary of Air New Zealand and fly small provincial services that also carry ANZ flight numbers. My suspicion is that some ‘smart’ code is not so smart! And as for the differing routes, yeah, no idea why or where they come from.
