All of United’s flights in the 9000 series are charters, maintenance, or ferry flights.
The UAL 744 you saw was a military flight…Arrived from Pope AFB last night and ferried empty to ORD. Omni and SWA also departed this morning.

I was going to say that it could a diverted flight. If it came from pope afb, i dont know why it would end up in gulfport. If there were other commercial aircraft there there must have been some bad weather or some other problem along the way to cause them to be in gulfport.
Keesler AFB and also a Navy Seabee base in GPT.
