In Amateur radio they often bounce signals off aircraft to increase range. It doesn’t last long but maybe it is happening here.
Maybe the signal bounce off a higher aircraft and back to your receiver.
There is also “Tropo” Tropospheric ducting. It can happen at 1Ghz frequencies.
