VFR vs. IFR?

I was wondering, in the flight tracking map, are only IFR flights shown or are VFR flights included as well?

Also, is there any filtering going on. IOW, are all aircraft that are in coverage being displayed?

Welcome to FA and the forums.

As explained in the FAQ, VFR flights are visible only when flight following is being given, and even then, it may or may not show up.

Also, some owners Block their tail numbers. FA honors this block, and these flights would not appear.
