Understanding msg/s received vs. processed

Looking at the piaware log, I found the processed/received ratio fluctuates between 50-70%.

I thought the Pi procecess as much msgs as it possibly can, but I noticed the ratio keeps the same even at night when few msg/s are received.

For example, when receiving 200/s it processes 120/s, but when only receiving 10/s in the night it processes only 6 or 7/s, even qhen it has plenty of spare cpu power to use (it can process 120/s during the day).

What does this mean, that the unprocessed messages are duplicates and they are discarded?

Thanks

You’re omitting that you’re talking about the mlat-client log.
Which only processes stuff relevant for MLAT, be it sync or actual MLAT.
