seems my cheap TV amp was beter as i tought.
well, lets find a sat lna that does 30db !!

but seems my sat lna gives lesser gain in the lower freq as i tought.
time to cook me a coco and ditch the spider gp.

OK, I was just making sure that wasn’t the problem. I am using both the sat amp and sat lna. My RF chain is: antenna-sat amp-coax-power inserter-coax-sat lna-receiver. Try using both and see if it’s better.
i tried seting gain on dongle ,but no difrence, i tought, perhaps to much gain (set to 35 (max 49)) ,lesser gain, lesser planes, so dongle gain is ok.
wel, it was a experiment worth, didnt expect that the cheap TV amp performed so good…
What brand/model LNA amp is this so I can remember not to get one?

cheap one ,6 euro in price.
the beter lna’s work beter i think, but dont forget, i HAD first a TV amp that pumped around the same gain ,20 db that is.
and i think that that amp did 20db ,while the lna amp started with a lower db on 1.1ghz and goes up more in freq.
not gonna buy a hirshman for 60 euro for a experiment, well, as say’d ,next project coco…
oh, the lna amp had a lower noise floor as the tv amp, so that was ok (3 vs 5 db)

on june 5, i received 306K reports., and 264K adsb reports ,this was the day i switched the amp.
seeing the average stats after it. 222k reports, and 185K adsb reports.(today)
but on air craft seen 5.3k on june 5, and 4.2 adsb crafts seen, and after the amp 5.3K and 4.3K adsb crafts seen (today)
so now i am confused.
in reports i droped, but aircrafts seen, well…

any ideas what counts more…
Could you check your message rate? It maybe some overload on your receiver input that drop down your position count. Can also be a near mobile cell tower disturbing by near frequency.
Something like you get same range and planes but less messages.

Did you upgrade to the new mlat client? There are several reports in the forum, including from me, who upgraded and then their position counts dropped.
