hello every body
I see every day this fly LX22 (from geneva to New york) I’m going to take it soon.
and I saw the route since a couple of day change, all flights go “directly” they don’t use the north route like usually.
I don’t know the raison
if someone know why all flights changed their route frome europe to USA ?
thanks a lot
regards
Bruno
Look up " North Atlantic tracks" on Wikipedia.
Eastbound flights take advantage of the tailwinds around the jet steam while westbound flights avoid that area which means flying farther north even though this means more distance. The published tracks vary from one day to the next to take advantage of what are calculated as " minimum time routes".
hello
great and thanks for your feedback
