I would be interested to see what results you would get using RG213 instead of RG6 cable for the CoCo.
I have built two out of RG213 and am impressed with the range I get over anything else I have tried.
I haven’t tried a capacitor inline, perhaps as the RG213 is 50 ohm impedance it isn’t required?

and the quality of construction, pushing the elements together will lead to nothing but a flaky antenna. The sections need to be soldered for a reliable antenna, every coco i have made that has been soldered has worked fine.

I have access to a network VNA and just moving a pushed together antenna change the tuning and gain by a ridiculous amount.

Great that you have access to VNA. Have you measured impedance of your good CoCos? I will love to know their impedance.
Having access to VNA is great advantage in antenna making/designing. I really feel bad not having it, but it is so costly ($3000 and above)! I am planning to buy it the day I win a lottery :mrgreen:
