I’m a relatively new feeder. I’m interested in tech and don’t have a background in flying (other than as a passenger) so I may be missing some of this info that might be obvious. I’ve been searching all over for a map key for dump1090 and haven’t been able to come across anything that shows what everything means. Specifically, I’m looking for info on the following:
Map:
List of plane icons
Size of icons - does this just differentiate types of planse (larger icon → larger plane)?
Color of icon - Altitude?
List:
Colors - (Green?/White?/Blue=MLAT)
Squawk? (Some alert popped up mentioning that a squawk was received but may be an error?)
Is there a document that sums all this up?
