Yes, this is essential, but dont use remove argument. Use purge argument.

  • If you used setting “receiver=dvbt”, and as a result dump1090 was installed by fr24feed:

  1. change setting from “receiver=dvbt” to “beast-tcp” and host/port to 127.0.0.1:30005.
    If you dont change this setting, fr24feed will again install dump1090

  2. sudo apt-get purge dump1090

  • If you installed it yourself
    sudo dpkg --purge dump1090
    sudi dokg --purge dump1090-mutability
