Klax over ocean night time ops?

Does anyone know why LAX hasn’t been transitioning from west ops to over ocean ops (landing east, departing west) at midnight, at least over the past several weeks?

Experienced this on VATSIM, curious to hear and see the transition to arrivals and departures facing each other happens in real life.

Noise abatement most likely.

The over ocean ops are for noise abatement - planes approach over the water and take off into the water. Not sure why they aren’t following their standard procedure for a couple of weeks now.

Maybe they can’t change the landing direction to be over water because of prevailing wind direction. I noticed today the prevailing wind is strongly west to east – this is in north San Diego county.
