Spoilers… Upgraded from standard RTL dongle with stock antenna to a Prostick Plus and 26" FA antenna. Easy 10x improvement.
Both setups just propped up on a windowsill, not actually outdoors or mounted on a mast (yet). I’m about 5mi from KCMH, so I get a lot of local traffic, and even with sub-optimal mounting I’m pulling in flights over 200nmi away!
