I’ve loved Aviation since I was a kid. Used to and still do, watch planes fly over and wonder who that was or where they are going. Tried to monitor them on my scanner. But you gotta be on the right frequency or they simply have to be transmitting to try to glean information. But then FlightAware came along. Now I can see all the info. necessary to ascertain who, what and where. I don’t believe I’d know as much as I do about Cirrus SR20 and 22’s, multi RV variants and how they’re kit planes, Turbo prop planes like the King Air 360, Epic E1000, Pilatus PC12, Daher TBM 960, and the Piper M600, to name just a few. They are such beautiful, fast and sleek aircraft. Also the new T-6 Texan turbo prop. I can hear them fly over all the time. That’s when I learned they don’t have their transponders on or are blocked from FlightAware, like a small minority of other aircraft.
