Greetings. I am a 55yr old housewife born and raised in Atlanta.
My father was a controller at the Hampton Center for 35 years.
His brother Joe was also in aviation. He was a GA pilot and owner and instructor before he went to work at the NTSB.
When I was young, my father and I would park at the end of the runway of the old green airport and sit on the hood watching planes like we were at a drive-in. Jet fumes are in my blood. Inheriting the data-loving intellectual side from my dad I end up here. It’s now and for the foreseeable future will be one of the first stops of my day over coffee from my mug that says, “I love the smell of jet fuel in the morning.”
Peace and safety to all.
