I am a retired computer consultant with 40+ years experience and probably nearly the same with flight simulation. However Aviation has become a hobby and for 20 years I lived a mile from the 09L runway at Heathrow and was a regular there taking photographs. Nowadays I live on a tropical Island about 150 metres from the beach and 150 metres from the Flic-en-Flac NDB which is the main approach for aircraft coming to Mauritius so I see a good amount of aircraft above my house every day at less than 4000 feet
