WIKIPEDIA

Does anyone have any experience with WIKIPEDIA? They have made a page on FlightAware here:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FlightAware

It is some old information and there is an error warning at the top that says it needs more citations. Does anyone know how to contribute to this to make it more accurate and informative?

TIA

Read the fine print under the wording “This article needs additional citations for verification.”

Wikipedia does not make entries. Rather, users of Wikipedia enter articles.

You can do this yourself. While not mandatory create an account at en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?tit … lightAware for additional privacy.

Or

en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?tit … ction=edit to edit the account without creating an account.

OK I don’t have all the latest info to put in there, thought the people here might.

We made a few factual updates/corrections per your request but you guys are welcome to make contributions beyond that; some sections are too verbose and others are too short.

Do you really want THIS group writing about your business on a site that has become the sole source for some folks???

I have implicit faith in our members.

This is going to be fun!

Generous. That didn’t go so well for two well-known aviation sites last year who were both maligned on Wikipedia by vast legions of angry, middle-aged internet tough guys with little else to do. But then again, you don’t ban your forum members, or reject photos - so what’s to complain about?

This is a good site, and I hope those who contribute to Wiki characterize it in that light!

Going to contact AADude…among others :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

AADude, HongKongCargo, and a cast of thousands…

I recall a nice young christian girl that used to stop by here.

Ummm OK.
