My system with a RPi Zero 2W has been stable from day one. A couple of weeks ago, I installed a WiFi extender to enhance my signal in a weak area. A couple of days later, I got a network unstable message. Reset everything; all good - for a couple of days. More loss of MLAT, timing off, and reset everything again; no problem. The third time it happened, I remembered the WiFi extender, and moved it so that it did not have an impact on my WiFi setup with the RPi/PiAware system. End of problems; it’s back to stable now. I am not technically competent enough to explain the problem, but if anyone is having issues and using a WiFi extender, it’s an easy check that might help.

The wifi extenders create a secondary “extended” network based off the core wifi network and is seen as a 2nd available wifi network. If the signal strengths are similar, your device can “connect” back and forth between the 2 available networks and experience a interrupt in doing so.
Thank you; I did not consider that when I placed the device. It was actually between my router and my station. I moved it to another area of the house and the problem disappeared.
Grace and Peace,
David
