Why no VFR flights?

Can someone tell me why VFR flights were turned of from being displayed on Flightaware? I sued to be able to see the planes from our local flying clubs scooting around on here a while back but now I can’t.

I’m sure this has been addressed in the past but when I did a search for VFR and got 55 pages of posts that i idn’t have the time/patients to wade through.

Those flights were probably using flight following from ATC.

VFR has always been hit and miss.

No flight following. I used to be able to see my own local flights to and from the practice area.

Agreed it was hit and miss…now it’s miss and nil.

Aw poop!

weird, I’ve only been able to see mine during flight following.

I’ve never seen mine at all whether it be local or a national squawk code! :open_mouth:

You sued FlightAware? Frivolous.

That is the climate these days :stuck_out_tongue:

Naw, lawsuits pretty much gets you nothing/nowhere up here in Canada.

Anyhoo, the adjacent ACC gives all VFR traffic in and out of our airport a discrete code so we all “tag up” on radar. We don’t squawk 1200. Maybe that’s how the info would appear on FA.

Meh, no biggy. I was just curious.

Going out SoCal seems to do a good job of setting it up. Coming home is usually a bust.
