On FA, some flight that I track (I put in an airline and a random flight number) and some times the flights status would say some thing like this Status:landed 2 years ago.What does this mean?
Means the flight landed 2 years ago and hasn’t operated since.
oh ok.Does that mean it`s retired? if so,thats alot of retired airplanes
No. It just means that for companies using call signs the flight number hasn’t been used. For general aviation aircraft it could mean that the aircraft has been flying VFR only and thus not always tracked or the aircraft was registered or it could have been delivered to a foreign country.
