What happened to this MD-88?

Hi,

A YouTube friend of mine filmed this CRJ-200 takeoff video, from Atlanta on the 2nd of July. On the taxiway is a Delta MD-88 surrounded by firetrucks and the passengers are being unloaded along with their luggage. Can anyone shed some light on what was going on?

Note the photo is wrong but the flight was definitely an MD-88.
