Pi3B with both ADSB and UAT dongles, powered by a hub, supply voltage stable (as far as I can tell).
Been trouble-shooting this for a while. Switched out UAT dongles, switched out powered hub and adapter (P/S). Problem still occurs.
I have a second receiver with both ADSB and UAT, just a different location and lower antennae. Same software, hardware, powered hub, dongles, etc. (I switched out the hub and dongles with this unit to help diagnose).
Trying to determine if it’s a hardware issue with the pi or a software issue… I have not re-installed the OS yet, both my systems are running PiAware 8.2~bpo10+1, updated regularly.
Rebooting the unit temporarily fixes the issue, but the UAT stops reporting (local display as well) after 3-7-days. I had set up a chron to reboot every 24h but would rather resolve the issue.
Anyone have an idea what to look at? Maybe just do a re-install?
In order to determine that you might want to provide the logs from piaware when it stops so we can see waht is happening.
You are still on an older version of your OS (bpo10+1), Buster, you might want to reconsider to upgrade to Bullseye when you decide to reimage.
Of course after I complain about it, the system has been stable for the last 2 weeks. I’ll post the log when I see an anomaly… eventually. I thought it had stopped a few days back but I suspect there was no aircraft sending UAT signals locally to report. Bad weather likely kept them grounded.
