Last night, a little before 10PM, I was sitting here minding my own business, when I heard Bethlehem Fire and EMS get dispatched to ABE for an inbound “either 737-300 or -500” with smoke in the cabin. The plane landed safely at ABE, and the passengers disembarked safely while the fire department checked the plane out.
It was neat to hear the response from the public safety side, as opposed to the ATC side. Whatever the issue was, the plane didn’t continue on to ORD until midday today.
