I’m a new user - great site/service! Is there a place where I can see the aircraft type abreviations that FlightAware recognizes?

Thanks.

[http://www.faa.gov/ATPubs/CNT/CNTHME.htm](http://www.faa.gov/ATPubs/CNT/CNTHME.htm) lists the both the aircraft type designators (scroll down to section 5) and the airline codes (called “Aircraft Company/Telephony/Three-Letter”). The latter are listed in section 3.

[faa.gov/ATPubs/ATC/Appendices/atcapda.html](http://www.faa.gov/ATPubs/ATC/Appendices/atcapda.html) gives a good way to search either by current for former aicraft manufacturers past and present, or by aircraft.
