Tracking of Cargo Flights

Dear Flight Aware Team and Fans,

why is it that some cargo flights are not tracked? For example, the dropdown menu features Cargolux or Lufthansa Cargo, but not AeroLogic. The latter also operates B777 on flights in the USA (ORD-LAX etc…), so it would be nice to be able to track them. 8)

Any light on why some airlines are tracked, and others not?

Foreign carriers flights in the US/Canada are included in our feed from the FAA/NavCanada on an opt-in basis. Most of the major passenger carriers have opted in, but fewer freight carriers.

How can an airline agree to opt in? Do you approach each airline individually?
