tracking inbound aircraft feature

Hi

I understand that if there is no data available, the “track inbound flight” or the “where is my plane” will not be available.

My question is if there really is no data available for Iberia, since I cant seam to find any inbound information in flights that have not depart.

For example, flight IBE-3255 from LIMC to LEMD 6-March-2017 is basically the return flight from Milan to Madrid of IBE-3254. I can guess that, but for other routes its only a wild guess.

Does Iberia not send information?

It depends on FlightAware receiving aircraft registration information for the planned flight before it departs; we don’t always have that.

After departure there’s a good chance we can identify the particular aircraft from ADS-B messages which is why the inbound-flight link shows up more reliably on historical flights.
