I am going to go to flight school in six months. I want to go flying before that for the fun and the experience. I am in Zephyrhills, Florida, 5 minutes from ZPH. I am looking for someone with a Cessna 172 or similar aircraft who would be willing to take my flying for an hour or so.
Try your request on the pilots of America forum, I’ll bet you’ll get a better response there. This site is mostly for guys that track airline flights.
In general, it might not be a great idea to pursue this sort of thing with no way of vetting the people that you encounter. That said, you are close to Lakeland; my information is pretty out of date, but I recall that the restaurant on the field is quite busy with fly in traffic on Sunday mornings.
