Terminal 5 at Heathrow opens Today!


Terminal at Heathrow is now open and the first flight is Under way from HKG.


They are having a *little *trouble with the new terminal. They are not currently accepting checkd baggage. Daily Mail Article

Denver was BAE; LHR T5 was a combination of BAA, Vanderlande and IBM.

At least 2 of those participants are renowned for their incompetence, don’t know about the other one.


That may be a bit of an understatement. I think the travelers there handled the situation well given the circumstances. If that happened in the U.S., there’d probably have been full-fledged RIOTS breaking out!



If by riots, you mean whining, complaining and filing lawsuits, you’re exactly right. The general US traveling public is not courageous enough to actually do anything about any kind of problem other than getting some face time on CNN about how distraught they are.
