From my apache web server I proxy connections to skyview. It works well and avoids directly exposing the piaware box to the internet. But I noticed really high, for my site, upload traffic. Turns out someone with a Japanese IP address has been watching my Skyview nonstop day and night for a couple of months. In other words, aircraft.json is being uploaded every few seconds for weeks. I’ve blocked the netblock in the firewall of the web server so that fixes the immediate problem. But a nicer solution would be some sort of optional time limit on accessing Skyview when there was no mouse or keyboard activity. Any other possible solutions?
