Sky Miles

Hello everyone!!

Can someone explain to me how skymiles work?

example: if you have 500 miles, do you get to fly free up to 500 miles?

Sorry if this is a dumb question…

There is no such thing as a stupid question, only stu…scratch that, check with your vendor

Found this on Delta’s website. It isn’t the entire “reward” list, but it helps…

delta.com/skymiles/about_sky … /index.jsp

That would be cool. You use the miles to buy a reward good for a one way or round trip ticket or upgrade to first class or discount on travel. One way might be 10,000 miles and Round trip might be 20,000.

You earn miles by flying on the airline. You get miles for the segments your fly, even if it’s out of your way to connect through the airlines’s hub. Example: Flying from St. Louis to Seattle might require a connection way down in Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX. You get all them miles!

Since Southwest flies point to point instead of hub & spoke they have rapid rewards which is like a punch card. Fly 16 segments or 8 round trips to earn a free round trip.

ok i think im understanding this now. thanks guys!
