I’ve travelled Heathrow to San Diego on a number of occasions, for some years British Airways have done one direct flight daily each way. Pre pandemic aircraft used were 777s and 747. Post pandemic A350s used for this route, again one direct flight daily.
Noticed of late now two flights and today (Wed 8 May) there are three direct flights, two leave within about 30 minutes of each other. Now aircraft used are 787s and notice a 777 today.

That is some increase in traffic.
