I can make my RPi3B boot fine to an USB thumb drive. But with it and the FA Pro Stick inserted the MLAT Clock is unstable. Am I overloading the USB2 bus with these 2 devices? I have read the now closed thread “MLAT Clock Unstable after moving to USB boot”.

You will have issues with the USB2 bus indeed causing the MLAT issues. The buffering will be out of pace causing the MLAT to go wrong.
