round and round in circles?

What’s going on with this flight? constant altitude of 5000ft - increasing speed and decreasing speed in circles over the airport? 2.5+ hrs of this?

sounds like a check ride from hell - flight testing some avionics or something? what are your thoughts?

Probably something as simple as building up flight hours…

Or a law enforcement aerial surveillance, maybe?

Edit: after looking more closely…unless the surveillance was at the airport…probably not law enforcement!!!

Most likely related to maintenance, new engine being broke in or something of that nature. that would make sense about the speed changes if it were a new engine.

Exactly what i thought. Big changes in power setting while staying within gliding distance are pretty good signs of a new engine.
