Do you have a Rest interface or one planned?

We’re internally beta testing one now; we don’t have a release date for it.

There is now a REST/JSON interface available for external use.

You can read a description of it on our FlightXML2 documentation page at [flightaware.com/commercial/fligh … ation2.rvt](http://flightaware.com/commercial/flightxml/documentation2.rvt)

But in short, your code simply needs to access an URL such as this and supply valid FlightXML credentials:

```auto
http://flightxml.flightaware.com/json/FlightXML2/MetarEx?airport=KJFK&startTime=0&howMany=1&offset=0
```

There is currently a jQuery example of how to use this interface, and there will be a Node.JS example published in the next day. Of course nearly any language can be used to access the REST/JSON interface, not just JavaScript-based languages. We expect mobile apps might also benefit from this new interface option.

Let me know if you have any problems or questions.
