I had to replace the Pi that hosted FlightAware, I couldn’t figure out how the replace the existing site so I created a new site under the same account with the new UUID. Everything is fine but what do I do with the old site?

If you are happy with a new site number, you don’t need to do anything. The old site will disappear after 30 days.

If you want to move your “new” site, to be the old site number, that’s not hard either.

I would like to go back to my original site ID because I have several years of history. Is it as simple as changing the UUID in:

```bash
/var/cache/piaware/feeder_id
```

Cache implies it is generated from another source and stored in the above file. I can get around Debian very well if you could guide me where to change the UUID to my years-old site I would appreciate it.

I think I found the answer by searching for it 😐

If you want to do multiple aggregators, take a look at [http://adsb.im/](http://adsb.im/) maybe you’d like it 🙂

(on there you just put the FA id into the relevant field for FA on the data sharing page in the webinterface)

If you’re curious and have a spare sd-card, makes it easy to go back!

Yeah, it’d be a pity to loose that.

I assume you are confident to SSH in?

`sudo piaware-config feeder-id < old UUID >`
`sudo systemctl restart piaware`

Plan B.
As suggested, adsb.im is very quick and easy to setup from scratch and may be a suitable alternative.
