Does anyone have any experience of using a Raspberry Pi 400 to feed ADS-B data? I have been offered one cheap but wanted to check before purchasing it.
Thanks

Well, it is a Pi4 with 4GB, that should work fine as an ADS-B receiver.
The only drawback could be the “form factor”. In a hot location it is not easy/possible at all to add a cooler/fan. But then it might not need one, given the larger pcb and cooling shield inside.
It will probably work without any issues. I think you can install PiAware on anything running Linux/ARM; I’ve even managed to do it on an old RK3228a TV box.
So did I, on H96Max v11 Android TV Box, Rock 3318 arm64 Quad Core CPU, 4 GB ram, 32 GB emmc flash.
This box was made in China or Taiwan, and failed within a year. ![]()

My old RK3228 is still going strong, but now with a different role: serving as a Tailscale subnet router(This way, I have remote access via VPN to the FlightFeeder and other devices, such as IP cameras and routers, just as if I were on the LAN.). Since it had very modest hardware (32-bit CPU, eMCP), I switched to the RPi family…
I’m skeptical about the durability of this type of hardware. Mine stays on 24/7 (with the occasional reboot); I’m afraid that if I turn it off, it won’t start up again.
