it has been a week since about 4 in the afternoon my raspberry stops working and no longer recognizes the dongle. (using lsusb)
It happens every day and if I restart the raspberry it all resolves.
Try a different power supply.
Clean the USB contacts, try a different port. Make sure it connects properly, try bending the connector a bit that it sits stronger in the USB slot.
I had a similar issue on my RPI4 where even a reboot did not resolve. I needed to hard power off and on again.
After i made sure the connector is strong enough connected, it works since then.

I wanted to warn you that I have solved the problem: I disconnected and reattached everything.
