System was working fine. I noticed piaware was not running today. But dump1090 was. So I tried starting piaware. And I get a error in the logs.
The error is: LOGIN FAILED: status ‘error’: reason ‘badly formatted feeder ID in login request’
I even tried completely renaming the /etc/piaware.conf
if feeder IS is corrupt try the following:
grab your feeder ID from My ADS-B
the ssh to piaware
type in
piaware-config feeder-id 12345678-1234-1234-1234-123456789abc
where feeder ID 12345678-1234-1234-1234-123456789abc is YOUR feeder ID
You have a corrupted /var/cache/piaware/feeder_id; remove it.
I would be interested if you’ve touched that file at all.
I looked through a old log and got my feeder id.
I did check out the /var/cache/piaware file and it was empty. Not sure where it was getting invalid feeder id from but is working now. Once I manually configured it.
