PIB-PIT on an Expressjet 145XR

Any idea what this is?

I checked USM basketball schedules, doesn’t seem to match anything.

Very weird as it only spent 2 hours in PIT. Doing further research, after the flight it flew PIB-SPS (Sheppard AFB), which is not regularly served by Expressjet. This would indicate that it’s probably part of some military charter. This: flightaware.com/live/flight/ASQ1778 indicates that that flight number flies PIB-SPS about once a month. The aircraft then ferried to IAH as ASQ1780.

Camp Shelby is located southeast of Hattiesburg and has its own airfield, but the runway is only 5000x60 and not suitable for an ERJ.

Its Halliburton charters. They also use a 737-500 every once in a while to Lafayette.

Haliburton? Interesting. Wonder what they are doing.

Yea, they charter the aircraft to transport the field workers up and back. I go down to PIB every once in a while, and that’s what it is.
