I just set up a new PiAware. The Pi boots up, joins the wifi, and I can ping it. The software shows it is starting but nothing happens and I can’t claim the device on the FlightAware web site.
Any advice?

I think there is a problem with the FlightAware website at the moment.
8.2 is an old version. Others have other but probably related problems See here:
Piaware installtion from FA website reverts to version 9.0.1 - #11 by dvsvejk
Thank you. Good catch. I thought I loaded the latest version. I was just following their directions. I guess I will start over.
I found this online an it appears to be downloading:
https://www.flightaware.com/adsb/piaware/files/piaware-sd-card-10.2.img.zip)
Looks like 10.2 gets me closer but I still can’t claim my device on:
https://www.flightaware.com/adsb/piaware/claim
When the pi boots up, it says normal: PiAware 10.2 is running. warning: Connected to Mode S receiver, bu not recent data. - I assume that is normal since I just turned it on. The two errors I am concerned about: error: Not Connected to FlightAware. error: Multilateration is not enabled.
I suspect FlightAware is still having server issues since I can ping my pi.
OK. Latest update. It finally on, its own connected, up to the flightaware server. Their claim link on their web site above still didn’t work but on the screen of the actual pi, it gave a claim link. I typed that in on my computer and it worked. I also set up MLAT and that is now working. Bottom line is if you are setting up your unit for the first time, at least for now, ignore their link to download the software. Instead use the link I gave above to download 10.2 from their servers.
