PiAware SkyAware - Message rate and History depth Question

I cannot find any good documentation on this, so here it goes:

In the upper right of the SkyAware screen, there is a count of “Messages/second” and below that is a message count for “History”.

The History number goes up and down, so I am unclear what it is indicating. Can you help me understand this??

I am trying to figure out if my Raspberry Pi Zero W is getting overwhelmed, or if this is just normal operation. Example: 26 aircraft, 12 with positions, messages 41 / second, history 803 positions.

That’s just something for the webinterface: How many positions are saved for all planes combined, those positions is what the aircraft tracks are drawn with.

Nothing to do with the receiver itself.
