Hi Everyone: Is there a link that takes you step by step once you have all the parts to put a PIAWARE system together? I ordered the parts, put the “kit” together and nothing occurred as I expected. I must be missing something after you turn the power on with all the parts attached. I know most of you are a lot smarter than I am with computers but I know I must be missing something to get the EXE file working from the internet. Anyone know of a link that would take me step by step? Thanks!

Out of curiosity, what EXE file are you referring to?
Yes…did exactly as stated. Both lights go on but green light never flashed. I’ll try doing this again after Christmas. The EXE I thought was what got the program stated but I guess this set up doesn’t need a message to “auto” start?
I guess you mean the win32diskimager exe? That’s a utility that you should use to help you write the sdcard image to the sdcard in step 2, it doesn’t actually go on the sdcard itself.
If you put the sdcard in your PC, you should get a directory with a bunch of files like kernel.img, cmdline.txt, config.txt, etc. If not, then you need to check that you did step 2 correctly to write the image to the sdcard.
The other thing that you can check, other than the awkward-to-see LEDs on the main Pi board, is the green/orange status lights on the ethernet socket - they should light up if the piaware image has started correctly and has a network connection.
I have a defective motherboard…I’m checking into that now. Thanks for all the information.
