PiAware 8.2 Wi-Fi not working

Had PiAware working fine until I unplugged it to move it. Plugged it back in, and now I am havving issues connecting to my wifi network. Verified password and everything is correct in the config file. I have the rasberry pi connected to HDMI cable to my second monitor however I dont know how to be able to type anything, to look at logs etc. What does “dormant” mean under the wlan0? is it still not finding my internet connection?

Thanks

So I got mine to work, but it keeps dropping out. I have to unplug and plug back in every few days… not sure what the heck is going on

Same issue happened here. Worked fine for long time, disconnected to relocate, and since then it drops the wifi on daily basis. Just a reboot or power disconnect can solve the problem.
Support, please look in and fix, if it is a bug or something…

I had a similar problem. By moving the Pi a bit and tilting the system toward my WiFi router, I was able to find a position where it became reliable. Walls and metal items will reduce the signal.
This command may show your signal level, it is a starting point:

sudo iwlist wlan0 scan | grep -e “dBm”

Higher is probably better. Others here probably have a better insight into the problem. Have fun.

Could be a power related problem, but another item to consider is your location - and perhaps getting some insight as to what’s going on with the WiFi channel usage around you might prove to be useful.
I frequently use an app on my android phone “WiFiMan” (free) from Ubiquiti (a manufacture of WiFi & wISP equipment). The app can show you what WiFi channel you are using, along with your neighbours, which if you are in an apartment/flat - that could be many dozens of other users all set to use 2.4Ghz channel 8.
If that i the case and you have the ability to move your router to use a less congested WiFi channel, there may be improvements in your situation.
