Looks like there may be a config problem in your PHPBB setup. Even if “display signature” box is checked, the profile signature is not automatically appended to the post.

We’ve disabled signatures globally. I think an upgrade to phpbb put the checkbox back on the profile page.
Copy that. You may want to edit the PHPBB “post a message”, “post a reply” and “edit profile” files to remove those checkboxes and sections to avoid confusion. Not that hard to do and, if using easymod update utility, PHPBB version upgrades won’t overwrite them. I’ve done much the same thing in several bulleting boards I am the sysadmin for. Would be glad to help if you need it.
