This one doesn’t surprise me at all. He made millions as the QB of the Cowboys in the 90s, and still commands a healthy salary as a Fox Sports broadcaster for NFL games to this day. With all the travel involved, a private jet makes perfect sense. I believe he also has a number of business ventures (including Hall of Fame Racing, a NASCAR team) that probably demand more of his attention during the offseason.
Dexter Holland from the Offspring, and Nitro Records has, and pilots his own CJ2. N7715X
and of course god, I mean Bruce Dickinson from Maiden sorta has his own 757, and pretty much free game to whatever else he wishes to fly, Some of the more “exotics” I’ve seen him in a Vulcan, A-37, A320, etc.
No, no, no. Travolta is NOT a 747 captain. He’s not even a 707 captain! He is rated as a PRIVATE pilot in the following aircraft:
B-707
B-720
CE-500
G-1159
HS-125
LR-JET
with the following limits:
ENGLISH PROFICIENT.
AUTHORIZED EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT: SO-G2. B-707 SIC PRIVILEGES ONLY
CE-500 (VFR ONLY).
His 747 “captaincy” is only an honorary marketing gimmick given him by Qantas.
I fly with Trovolta’s pilot. Or I should say I have flown with his pilot- the company we both worked for took 2 months to pay me for a trip so if they call again I won’t fly with them
I’ve heard Travolta is a real jerk to fly with. I’ve seen him at FBO’s before, and he really tries to act like he’s a captain. Yeah, stick with dancing.
