Conditions are still good, look at all the aircraft outside the 250nm range ring…
You’re gonna need a bigger map!
Your wish is my command, just hit cmd-r
Great, thank you. Do you think you could also have the altitude graph read the value from the config file regarding the range so that it only need changing in the one place please?
Well i never not budging outside my rings ![]()

Looks like we have a bit of an opening again today - Not as strong as a couple of weeks ago but conditions are up again.
I can confirm it here over germany as well. My receiver just got the max. amount of aircraft seen at the same time today for the last 30 days.
Seem to be similar conditions in southern Sweden. Some of the stations I compare with (all south of me) are showing improved number while I’m not.
Perhaps later today it’s my turn to get a boost ![]()
Increased range down to the south this morning and a quick check of the Hepburns shows some tropo coming in.
I noticed some increased range too from North East Scotland this morning - looks to be topping out at around 260NM for me just now.
Nothing much to speak of in the south-west UK - although 10 metres is open ![]()
I just tx’ed some 2m FT8 and am being reported south of Wick…I’m in the Central Belt
Nothing on 10m in the south east - I run a WSPR / QRSS / CW beacon on 10m 24/7 and if conditions are up, I expect a few more WSPR spots but there’s only been one today and the RBN hasn’t seen me on CW for a week.
2m FT8 is good for propagation testing, must sort out a cable to my 5100.
I’m FT8 on 10 and working Spain/Portugal mostly but spotted in France/Italy
My homebrew multiband WSPR Tx is off at the moment.
Seeing craft out around 350NM just now. The green craft just above Norwich appear to be doing some in air refuelling which was a first for me to witness this way.
The DX stuff here will probably be due to tropo - With the good conditions and lack of other air traffic to collide with, they’ve been on the map for hours.
I don’t seem to have any tropo effect at the moment - I think you being near the coast makes a big difference for that.
Having a moment of tropo here in Sweden as well:
The two ground stations in Finland (T40A09 and T40A10) pops up when the conditions are favourable. Have tried to find their precise locations but failed. Would be nice to know where they are, anyone has a clue on this?
