I live a couple hours north of French Lick. I don’t remember a year prior to this one where there have been so many deer out and about. I’ve had dozens of close calls on my drive to and from work, not to mention a flight with a buddy of mine a couple weeks ago: “Portland traffic, Skylane 4**** waiting for the deer to depart runway 27”. Having been a night flight, I’m glad they hadn’t been on the runway when we landed a few minutes earlier.
