I’ve been looking at track logs for some of my flights and using the data to plot these flights on Google Maps. But, one minute time and one minute lat/long resolution isn’t all that great. For example, my approaches don’t look great at all, especially the holds, procedure turns, etc. I know flight aware has more precise data in both time and position because I can see it on generated maps. Is there any way to obtain this data?
We only get minute-resolution data from the FAA (in both time and space), so that’s all we can offer. Our maps are using the same data as the tracklog; the mapping software does a bit of smoothing/interpolation to make it look nicer.
