# Missing Flight Track

I flew IFR from BFI (Boeing) to PDX (Portland) and back again yesterday. The BFI to PDX track and weather was nicely captured on Flight Aware; however, the return track is missing; same day. Both were filed on the ground before flight.

Any explanation?

There seems to be a bug with displaying the most recent flight for some aircraft. Both your BFI-PDX and PDX-BFI tracks display now that you made another flight.

Thanks for the explanation of the ‘bug’. Another question… It seems that the track only appears when enroute – not when in the immediate airport environment. Why is that?

We don’t usually receive positions for aircraft going in to small airports after they stop talking to center.
