I had the app running on my phone and started tracking this plane after it squawked. I noticed it circling for a while at 30k feet. Then I noticed it descending until the tracker stopped tracking it. Seemed strange to me to be at 800ft out in the middle of nowhere and then no longer being tracked. Is this normal?

Looks like it diverted to EDDK to me.

ADS-B tracking is effectively line-of-sight only so it’s fairly normal to lose coverage at low altitudes unless there happens to be a receiver close by.
